APPLICATIONS SOFTWARE ENGINEER / MIDLOTHIAN / £24K-£31K
* Enthusiastic Software Engineer sought with exp in embedded device driver development to join the Applications Software Team at a global leader
* You will provide excellent support to customers, answering questions from customers & developing drivers for devices
* To apply for this key position you must be able to communicate clearly with customers & develop an understanding of customer driver requirements. Subsequently you will use this information to produce high quality device drivers
* The Applications Software Engineer will also feed back useful information gained from the customers to the rest of the Applications Software Team, Design Team & Marketing Team to help improve our products
* This exciting role includes travel to customer sites in Asia, Europe & the US
Ideally you will also have good knowledge/understanding of:
- C / C++ programming
- Embedded OS internals
- Device driver development
- Strong analytical skills
- Initiative & ability to deal with constantly evolving priorities/competing demands
Highly desirable skills:
- Windows Embedded CE or Linux
- Audio/Touch/Power Management device driver development
- Knowledge of any of these application processors: Intel/Marvell XScale, Samsung SC324XX, Freescale i.MX21/31, AMD Alchemy, TI OMAP | | |
