Description
NETWORK INTERFACE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER / DEVON / £NEG + BENEFITS
You will define, implement & test network interfaces (SNMP, TL1, CLI) for subsystems products. in this varied & challenging position you will:
* Design network interfaces (SNMP, TL1, CLI) for subsystems products
* Produce architecture/High level design documents
* Implement software designs in C/C++
* Unit test written code
* Participate in peer code reviews
* Investigate technical issues during verification phase of product development
We are keen to hear from skilled NETWORK INTERFACE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERS with:
- C / C++ / SNMP agent /MIB / TL1 / CLI
- Embedded databases / TCP/IP
- Vx-works Development & debugging tool suite
- Graphical User Interface (GUI) design
- Software product development
- Structured Design Process (Design Specifications, Software Design)
- UDP Sockets / Software Testability Issues
Knowledge of:
- Telecoms market, SDH/Sonet, optical technology, internet protocols, packet switching
- Current technologies in network processing, especially optical transmission - DWDM, amplification, packet switching & filtering
- Configuration management / problem tracking tools exp
ADVANTAGEOUS: Multi site development exp; Digital hardware knowledge | | |
