Description Project Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering organisation. The Project Engineer will be responsible for delivering new bespoke-engineered products within the time-scales and costs to the quality expected. He/She should be willing to challenge the status quo and seek better ways of achieving the required solution.

The Company Our client is a market leading provider of total aviation, ground and marine refuelling solutions to both commercial and military organisations and markets.
The Role • Take specifications and operating requirements provided by the client and interpret into an innovative design solution which will incorporate dimensional data as well as including material and process specifications. • Develop and prove the basic design through the production of component detail and general arrangement drawings using AutoCAD Inventor 3-D package. • Prepare supporting documentation including bills of materials, process specifications and specific work instructions to facilitate manufacturing operations. • It will be necessary to liaise with the production facility in order to understand the capabilities and technologies available and to discuss potential new techniques or technological processes that might effectively be implemented.
Key Experience Required
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and attributes,
• Educated to degree level or equivalent within Mechanical Engineering or other appropriate discipline. • Display knowledge of fluid dynamics in order to design components and systems from first principles • Demonstrate successful innovation design experience of mechanical components and assemblies, both machined and fabricated items. Ideally this will include knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and fluid dynamics, the ability to carry out stress analysis would be extremely useful. • Demonstrate some knowledge of managing projects within a new product development environment • Demonstrate knowledge of and experience in interpreting the requirements of various standards, including CE Marking and rigorously apply these to new designs and products. • An understanding of design engineering within the context of new product introduction and the desire to further develop skills in this area. • Be able to work as part of a team and individually, to effectively develop solutions to customer requirements.
