As a leading advanced composites company, our client has sales of over $1 billion, manufacturing facilities throughout Europe and the USA, and sales offices worldwide. They develop, manufacture and market lightweight, high-performance reinforcement products, composite materials and composite structures for use in commercial aerospace, space and defence, and industrial applications. They are now looking to recruit a Graduate Chemical Process Engineer / Graduate Process Specialist to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Graduate (or equivalent) in Chemical or Process Engineering. In this role you will join their Process Specialist team that supports the manufacturing function, ensuring that the company’s processes are functioning in the most efficient, productive and safe manner possible.
Within your first few weeks, you will be given the responsibility to manage active projects within their manufacturing environment. Over time you will be required to provide advice and guidance to Manufacturing Managers and those involved within the manufacturing process.
As a Graduate Chemical Process Engineer / Graduate Process Specialist you will also be involved in improving production processes through close work with the quality, health and safety and manufacturing functions, to ensure that their facilities are well equipped to deal with the expected growth within the company over the next few years.
To succeed in this position you’ll need to be a bright, enthusiastic candidate willing to take on a challenge and you must have a strong degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent). Any previous industrial experience would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
Additionally, because of the nature of the business you’ll also need to be able to think on your feet and learn from the changing environment on a daily basis. This role is largely spent in the manufacturing a plant, so a strong understanding of health and safety best practice is essential.
