Description
Your role will be to support the company's military and civil aircraft programmes, carry out technical analysis in the disciplines of stress, performance and acoustics/vibration. In addition you will prepare technical reports and provide support for qualification. It is essential to have knowledge of landing gear or transferable skills.
Key Activities:
-Technical analysis in the disciplines of stress, performance and acoustics/vibration
-Preparation of technical reports
-Use of up to date technology including analysis techniques such as Finite Element analysis, Multi-body, Dynamics simulation, spreadsheets etc
-Liaison with Design Engineers
-Interfacing with Chief Engineers, Programme Management and colleagues at other sites.
-Presentations to both internal and external customers
Knowledge Required:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-Knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the aerospace industry
-Conversant with traditional and computerised calculation and analysis methods such as Finite Element Analysis and Fatigue Analysis
-Working knowledge of aerospace materials
-Awareness of industry standards, regulations and qualification requirements
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-General computer literacy (Microsoft office)
-Language skills or experience working overseas advantageous
