Description
Principal Engineer required with an understanding of stress analysis, materials, hydraulics and electrical / electronic design. An understanding of steel fabrication, aluminium extrusion and other manufacturing processes to lead, develop and manage a team of experienced and dedicated Design Engineers and Detail Draughts persons. You will have design and management experience within a fast moving commercial environment along with excellence standards in the design of vehicle-mounted lifting equipment and be able to achieve targets set for NMI/NPI according to the Engineering Department goals.

Ideally you will have the following:
?(BSc Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
?Chartered or working towards Chartership preferred but not essential.
?New Model Introduction, design from concept to manufacture and cost-down engineering.
?Experience of CAD, solid modelling, PDM and FEA systems (Solidworks, Smarteam & Cosmos are the current packages used) and MS Project
?An understanding of Bills of Materials and product costing would be a benefit
