Description
Design Verification/Qualification Engineer required for an initial 6 month contract, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of verification/ qualification activities on Fluid Systems projects. This will include verification activities assocaited with complete fuel handling and filtration systems as well as fuel/hydraulic sub-systems and control sub-systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Verification/Qualification activities may include but are not limited to tests, analyses, design statements and specifications associated with the following areas:
??Environmental Trials (Vibration, Shock, Climatic etc)
??Electrical Power and EMC Trials
??Functional and Performance Trials
??Human Factors (Analysis/Assessment/demonstration/Trials)
??CBRN Survivability & Operability (Analysis/Assessment/demonstration/Trials)
??Functional Testing (Fuel / Hydraulics / Mechnical / Materials)
??Safety / Reliability / Maintainability
Experience Required:
•Conversant with defence standards and procedures (MIL-STD 810, DEF STAN 00-25, DEF STD 00-35, DEF STAN 08-04, DEF STAN 59-411, STANAG 3756) for clearance of military equipment in a land or marine environment.
•At least two years verification experience in a similar position within the defence/aerospace/marine or automotive industry prefered. Candidates with a general aerospace, marine or defence engineering background would be considered.
•Membership of appropriate professional bodies would be an advantage.
Qualifications required:
•An honours degree in mechanical, electrical or aeronautical engineering is desirable. However HNC or similar will be considered with experience.
The role will be based Dorset but will also include supporting work at other sites in the UK and abroad.
