Description Job Purpose: Demonstrates commitment to the Quality Policy (patient safety and product quality) through their daily execution of sound quality practices and the maintenance of an effective quality system. Understands and complies with all the regulations governing the quality systems Ensures their team are aware of their commitment to patient safety and product quality, are current with their training requirements and that they understand and comply with all other regulations governing their work. Strategic manager of multiple product lines, technologies, or specialized functions. Devotes a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership, and employee development of a complex or large department or staff. Key Responsibilities: · Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering of a given area. · Works with Value Stream and Quality Engineering Manager to deliver business objectives – lean manufacturing metrics, VIP, cycle time, scarp as %VOP etc. · Responsible for developing a world class-manufacturing group that is proficient in problem solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools. · Develops and executes departmental budgets and capital spending. · Leads or represents function in periodic business metric reviews. · Initiates cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues. · Prioritizes and drives execution of multiple complex department projects. Sponsors and supports Operations Value Improvement Process (VIP) or Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects. · Responsible for the departmental basics including budgeting, hiring, day-to-day management, project resourcing, etc. · Establishes and supports a work environment of continuous improvement that supports our client’s Quality policy, Quality System & the appropriate regulations for the area. · Ensures employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
Qualifications: · BS in Engineering (mechanical, polymer or chemical), with a Masters degree a distinct advantage.
· A minimum of 9 years of technical/professional experience
