ROLE - PRODUCTION PLANNER / PRODUCTION SCHEDULER / PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
SECTOR - PRODUCTION ENGINEERING AEROSPACE
BASED - THURMASTON, LEICESTERSHIRE
SALARY - circa. £18,146 PER ANNUM
• THE OPPORTUNITY -
Working in one of Leicester's largest production engineering environments, specialising in the production of Aerospace parts as a 1st tier supplier to some of the global manufacturers that include Airbus, Boeing and Westlands; we are now in a position to invite applications for a Production Planner / Production Scheduler / Production Coordinator with previous experience within a production or manufacturing engineering environment.
• ABOUT THIS ROLE -
Duties to include MSA system operations for both forging and finishing cells, providing information and progressing WIP to daily work-to-lists, maintaining the MRP Systems, interfacing with master scheduling and sales coordinators.
Ensuring material and tooling is available and allocated to relevant orders scheduled to maximise utilisation of machines and labour.
Also responsible for recommending changes to manufacturing orders with regard to batch quantities, forecast and lead times. Identifying abnormal orders that need special attention and communicating this to other departments in a timely manner.
• ABOUT YOU -
The successful candidate should preferably have production scheduling experience and knowledge of tooling and material processing. You must also understand the quality procedures, have the ability to interrogate processes and must be able to work on your own initiative.
All shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a PPA test along with a General Intelligence Assessment that has been specifically designed for this client.
