ROLE - MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER / DESIGN ENGINEER / PROJECT ENGINEER
SECTOR - PROCESS INDUSTRY
BASED - LEICESTER, LEICESTERSHIRE
SALARY - circa. £25,000 PER ANNUM (NEGOTIABLE)
START DATE - 28th JULY 2008
• THE OPPORTUNITY -
We are inviting applications for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a view to start on Monday, 28th July 2008. Our client are a global manufacturer of Valves and Jet products with a network of distributors and representatives across the world. This role is of great importance to be filled, therefore should you feel you have the required experience and skills as detailed below, your application will automatically be considered for interview.
• ABOUT THE ROLE -
Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will primarily be responsible for the design of products and systems as required by customers, whom are supported by our clients extensive network of representatives.
• SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -
- Ideally you will have a HNC or equivalent qualification based within Mechanical Design, people with a solid work history / background will also be considered
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2007 would be preferred although not essential
- Have a good understanding of the Pressure Vessel Code
- Hold a valid Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience of design in welding / fabricating assemblies
- Worked to ASME 8 (VIII) standards
