Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Vacancy: Permanent
Location: Clitheroe – Lancashire
The Client:
The Client is a leading manufacturer of conveying, weighing, filling and discharge equipment for dry ingredients and powders. The company has an established reputation for quality and reliability in the food and chemical industries, with subsidiaries in the USA and agents worldwide.
The Role:
The Client is looking for an enthusiastic mechanical designer to join their engineering team. You will be involved in applying our standard designs to meet customers’ specific requirements, as well as designing purpose built powder handling solutions. The ability to work to tight production deadlines is essential. The work involves both concept layout and detail design, sourcing proprietary equipment, through to inspection of assembled machinery. Good presentation and communication skills are essential to liaise effectively with both customers and suppliers. You should be qualified to at least HNC level, be computer literate and have a thorough knowledge of Autocad 2008. Relevant experience in the design of solids handling equipment would be preferred – Typically experience gained within Process equipment design, Packaging equipment sectors or similar would be advantageous.
The Package:
Salary: £24k – £28k (flexible)
Holidays: 32 days
