Position: Mechanical Design Office Manager
Vacancy: Permanent
Location: Clitheroe - Lancashire
The Client:
The Client is a leading manufacturer of conveying, weighing, filling and discharge equipment for dry ingredients and powders. The company has an established reputation for quality and reliability in the food and chemical industries, with subsidiaries in the USA and agents worldwide.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Design Engineer to lead our mechanical design team. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are completed to our customers’ specific requirements, within tight production and budget targets. As well as direct management of our mechanical designers you will liaising with our sales, purchasing and production teams. Input on current working practice, industry innovation and design procedures are needed to ensure we maintain our leading market position.
Good presentation and communication skills are essential to liaise effectively with both customers and suppliers. You should be qualified to at least HNC level, be computer literate and have a thorough knowledge of Autocad 2008 and preferably Inventor.
Relevant experience in the design of solids handling equipment and Atex regulations will be a distinct advantage.
Experience gained within the process equipment / packaging industry or similar is also advantageous. Experience gained managing a team of design engineers / technicians is also required.
