Description
Aker Solutions is a leading provider of total life cycle engineering services to the process, nuclear, water, metals and energy industries. A design opportunity has arisen within their Stockton office for an Electrical Engineer for project design work within power systems applications. You will lead functional input to small projects or carry out engineering tasks as part of a large project team.
You will be qualified to a minimum HND Electrical Engineering Degree and preferably have contract engineering experience, combined with project design experience within power systems, MCCs, drives etc in a heavy industrial environment (Chemicals, Refinery, Nuclear, Water, Power etc). You will plan and prioritise your own work, carry out engineering calculations and supervise work of more junior engineers when appropriate.
Ideally you will have experience in the design of ancillary electrical systems and building services. You will have recent first-hand experience of power system analysis/protection grading software and experience of instrumentation / control would be advantageous.
