Description
MS Systems Engineer, initial 2 months contract based Portsmouth rate to 45ph
Qualifications and / or Skills:
Essential: Engineering degree, working knowledge of network management, experience of network configuration Management, experience of network fault management planning, satellite engineering,
Satellite engineering
Previous Experience:
Essential: Radio and network planning, requirements analysis, interface definition, Fault management definition, requirements analysis
Outline Job Profile:
Support Systems Engineering in preparation of NMS declared requirements baselines V2 and V3.
Candidate should have a mixture of but not be limited to the areas of:
a) Interface definitions for IRD22: NCC - Umbrella MS [Northbound] [V3.402], IRD23: Civil NCC – SCC [V2.404], IRD[TBD]: NCC – NTP [V2.409] & IRD[TBD]: MS Interconnect (ORION) [V2.412]
b) Configuration Management: Radio Parameter Definitions [V2.1203], CM - Network Parameter Definitions [V2.1504] and OTAM Information and Control [V1505]
c) Interface Definition for a) IRD1 TMA – Baseband EMA [V2.407], IRD1 TMA – MEMA [V2.408], IRD30 ASMA - Timing & Positioning [V2.410] & IRD[TBD]:TMA - Timing & Positioning [V2.411]
d) Define fault Management capabilities between the NCC\ASMA\TMA & NEs [V2.17.04]. This involves i) clarifying the FM data that can be collected/reported ii) determining how reporting will be negotiated
e) Plan Dissemination/File Management & Activation.
This involves:
Defining level of granularity concerning configuration files generated in response to a service request
Conducting sizing analysis in respect to different configuration file types
Conducting performance analysis identifying no of files and estimates of file sizes and
Determining time to coordinate/deliver configuration changes to introduce each service type
Determine how file transfers are to be handled and checking to be applied. [V2.1406] | | |
