Description This major organisation is a customer focused, innovative value-driven company, which manufactures, processes and distributes steel products and services to customers worldwide. Project Engineers – You will make recommendations for plant and equipment to meet the production and engineering requirements of the Project at an economic cost consistent with sound engineering practices, incorporating the latest technological concepts. You will assist in establishing the cost of projects and the anticipated revenue savings prior to preparation of the application for capital expenditure. You will also provide practical advice in the initial design and layout stage of major developments initiated by development engineers for the Integrated Works which may cover a number of projects at any one time.
Qualified to degree level or equivalent level in a software or systems based subject, you will possess significant experience and be conversant with relevant software and control systems (SCADA, iFix etc.)
Technicians – You will work as part of a multi-disciplined team (days and shifts) and be responsible for the effective and efficient maintenance of all Process Control & Automation equipment within a dedicated Works area. You will fault find on a wide variety of PC&A equipment (PLC’s, instrumentation, gauges etc) and be able to assess and make effective repairs or changes. You will have a working knowledge of PLC's, SCADA control systems, control loops and Instrumentation and will ensure that all work carried out complies with relevant H&S, environmental, Statutory, mandatory and quality standards.
Qualified to HNC level or equivalent, you will have completed a time-served apprenticeship in a systems/electrical field along with hands-on experience of PLC's, control and instrumentation.
Process Control - Strategist - An individual is now required to examine continuous and disparate systems, working with works areas to agree which systems need updating, deciding upon and driving the improvement and development strategy agreed. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the flexibility of numerous systems, along with the technological knowledge required to make the correct strategic choices for the business.
