Description
Scope of job
• Advice and production of quality related documentation for corporate, divisional and project purposes. Assessment on the effectiveness of the Company QMS on behalf of the Business Systems Manager.
• Guidance and advice to new recruits.
• Inspection and expediting of suppliers in accordance with CP0703.
• Carrying out audits as per CP0102.
• Advice to Marketing and Sales on inspection and quality matters during the preparation of tenders.
• Quality Representative for defined area within the Company.
• Carry out Supplier Evaluation.
• Works closely with the Technical Support Team
Dimensions and limits of authority
• Day to day management of procurement contracts with a value up to £0.5M.
• Responsible for the acceptance of manufactured components on behalf of the Compliance Manager.
• Responsible for the direct liaison with project managers etc and organisation of workload.
Qualifications
• A recognised qualification in an engineering discipline such as an ONC, HNC or HND.
Experience
• More than 5 years experience within an engineering environment, with good practical experience such as an apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance and inspection requirements as required by the nuclear or other high technology industry.
