Description
Analogue Design Engineer, initial 6 months contract based in Portsmouth rate to 37ph
Essential: HND or similar in Electronics. Extensive analogue electronics design skills with a working familiarity with digital design. A good awareness of electronic circuit implementation / packaging options (PCB / multi-layer / conventional hybrid / ASIC) and overall design constraints
Familiarity with telemetry and telecommand protocols and interfaces. Familiarity with Power Bus requirements and DC/DC converters. Familiarity with EMC constraints and design practice. Ability to perform Worst Case and ideally Reliability Analyses. Familiarity with radiation hardening issues. Familiarity with RF / microwave amplifiers
Demonstrable experience in design of analogue electronics products
: Experience in digital design. Experience with RF / microwave amplifier design. Familiarity with military / space requirements.
Outline Job Profile To work as part of multidisciplined team in the design of electronic and microwave amplifier products for spaceflight application. The role will be to support the team in design and analysis of electronic circuits for amplifier bias regulation, amplifier control functions, telemetry and telecommand and DC power regulation. The work will be a mix of detailed design and analysis together with practical hands on implementation of circuits, design proving and troubleshooting.
