Description Back-end Verification Engineer
Development & maintenance of Process Design Kits (PDK) ensuring that they reflect Corporate design style & requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Foundry design rules file (DRC), and device recognition file (LVS/XRC), installation and performance testing including automation
The evolution of design rules, extraction scripts and method
Ensuring quality of run sets to analogue/RF IC circuit and layout designers with process verification issues
Tracking process rules and publishing relevant aspects of these to the development organisation
Required:
Masters/Bachelors degree in Physics, Computer science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Experience of supporting back-end verification tools
Computer programming skills
Understand the circuit design needs associated with deep sub-micron processes
Programming languages - C, Perl for data structures, geometry, graphics, parsing and string manipulation
Unix shell scripting
Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems
Excellent written & communication skills
A self starter & self driven
Have team leader/player skills
Have excellent problem solving skills
Desired:
Back-end verification from Calibre suite is a plus
Experience in gdsii layer manipulation, p-cell design and xRC netlisting/simulation desirable
Semiconductor process integration knowledge an advantage
Experience of interconnect modelling advantageous
