Lean Manufacturing Champion – Production Process Engineer
Bedfordshire
To £35K with real progression prospects
Immediate start
Experienced Lean Manufacturing expert sought for leading Bedfordshire based manufacturing plant.
You will take immediate responsibility for optimising the manufacturing process by driving down waste produced and raising the overall levels of manufacturing efficiency.
This role requires a proven and capable leader to take on and drive lean manufacturing initiatives:
• Organising, chairing and facilitating lean manufacturing meetings with operators and team leaders
• technical support of process issues
• championing best practise
• introducing measures of shop floor efficiency (OEE, 5S)
• Developing operators awareness and active involvement in the process
In order to succeed in this role, you must be highly self motivated and enthusiastic, with a true passion for manufacturing processes.
You should be well qualified, ideally with engineering or science based degree coupled to around 3 years experience of manufacturing environments – printing or material coating technologies are of particular interest.
Demonstrable record of achievement in operational change, with significant experience and knowledge of improving waste reduction and efficiencies from an implementation and management perspective.
Experience of implementing and managing key lean tools such as O.E.E., 5S, SMED and Standard Operational Procedures is vital.
In return, the company is offering a basic salary to around £35000 with significant scope for career progression with 1 to 2 years.
