Description The Energy Solutions Business (ESB) within Cummins Power Generation is responsible for Energy Solutions utilising Cummins own Gas fired Generating Sets with unit sizes between 300kW and 2000kW to meet Customers’ energy needs generally in the range of 1000kW to 10,000kW. The Generating Sets are arranged either as a Power Generation Only Solution, a Combined Heat and Power Solution or in Greenhouse applications as a Tri Generation Solution. This Health & Safety role is to work within ESB for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region and is primarily responsible for ensuring all sites and projects are in compliance with the HSE requirements and meeting all legal requirements in the countries were ESB operates, support the corporate HSE initiatives and ensuring all ESB employees are properly trained, develops processes, procedures or work instructions to make people work safer and in full compliance of the environmental regulations.
Duties include establishing a HSE system, developing site specific safety policies, procedures and programs, develop and devise implementation plans for health, safety & environmental training, identify and develop control plans for hazards which exist at the ESB sites and Interact with regulatory agencies in the EMEA area to maintain compliance with all applicable standards. Implement and manage site Safety & Environmental Management Systems & coordinate ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001 initiatives.
All applicants should preferably have a bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental or related management/engineering field and have demonstrable working experience in Health & Safety within either the Power, Gas and Oil and/or Construction Industries. It would also be key to have experience of either supporting multi-site locations and/or working knowledge of HSE in other countries. Previous experience on CDM is also critical along with the ability to demonstrate strong self-management, leadership and continuous improvement skills. | | |
