Description
Well established & highly reputable global contractor with a track record of successful project execution & high quality engineering in both offshore and onshore oil and gas related sector industries seeks a Lead Estimator to join their expanding Project Controls discipline. You should have degree level qualification in an engineering or technical discipline or a minimum of three years in a Senior or Lead Estimating position.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The Lead Estimator is responsible for technical direction over a group of Estimators on a specific project. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent and relevant experience.
Requirements
Candidates for this position will need to demonstrate a degree level qualification in an engineering or technical discipline or a minimum of three years in a Senior or Lead Estimating position. He/she will be required to set up and implement estimating processes on projects using corporate Project Controls systems, and should demonstrate a competent proficiency in PC skills, especially MS Excel.
Specific Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to manage and lead the estimating team on large multi-discipline projects. Responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of estimating procedures and implementation of estimating processes using the KBR estimating systems (training will be given)
• Prepare project preliminary and definitive estimates for the Project Director’s approval and issue
• Manage and direct the activities of estimating staff, including staff performance and evaluation
• Review scope of work contained within engineering documents and schedules to identify out of scope changes
• Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
