Description SERVICE TECHNICIANS WIND POWER INDUSTRY GRANGEMOUTH, SCOTLAND
Our client, a leader in wind technology is now looking to recruit Service Technicians in Grangemouth, Scotland. As Service Technician your key responsibilities will include handling breakdowns; fault diagnosis & repair (electrical & mechanical); scheduled servicing and planned upgrades. This role will involve working at heights and climbing 25 – 80 meter towers as well as manual handling - lifting: bags, tools up to 20 kilos, equipment and components up to 20 kilos. You will undertake electrical work including monitoring with generators. This position will also involve work with hydraulics systems, carrying out mechanical work and working with gearboxes. You must have a full driving license as you will be driving to and from sites.
Successful candidates will have a service engineering background. You will be educated to ONC level or equivalent in a Mechanical or electrical discipline. You will be flexible and service motivated with good communication skills. You will also require good skills in reporting and documentation. Experience in electrical, mechanical and maintenance work and experience with the MS office package and computing tools. Please note that you may be required to cover during weekends.
