Description
Renishaw are currently seeking to employ a Test Development Engineer. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design and development of In Circuit and/or Functional Test packages, in order to support the development and manufacture of various PCB assemblies.
KEY OUTPUTS AND DELIVERABLES:
• The development of In Circuit and/or Functional Test programs
• The responsibility for the scheming and designing of required test fixtures and associated fixture electronics
• Ensuring all documentation and data comply with company requirements for quality, safety and functionality
• Producing the full documentation required for the manufacture of test fixtures
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:
All applicants are required to have the following:
• An HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering
• An understanding of electronic principles
• Familiarity of In Circuit and/or Functional Test techniques
• PC literacy
Although not essential, it is desirable if applicants have some or all of the following:
• An HND (or equivalent) in Engineering
• Good knowledge of analogue and digital electronics principles
• Familiarity with Labview and Teststand
• Recognition of Boundary Scan principles
• Practical knowledge of Visual Basic
• A comprehensive understanding of Design for Test techniques
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The successful applicant will have a logical approach to problem solving, and be able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. The individual will be able to work within a team environment at all levels, and be able to work to predefined time scales.
LOCATION:
This role is based at the New Mills site at Wotton-under Edge, Gloucestershire.
