Description
Software Engineer – Somerset – C/C++ or Java
Salary c £28K - £35K + Flexitime
Our clients are responsible for the development of Information systems for the aviation/aerospace industries – such as mission planning, airbase automation and information management.
The primary purpose of the role will be to assist with the development of mission management software, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, verification and integration.
Key tasks involve:
• Liaising with Systems Engineers to agree requirements and design
• Liaise with customers and users to elicit detailed software requirements
• Software modelling and design using UML
• Software implementation and test – using Java, C++, C
The successful Software Engineer will have the following experience:
• Development of software requirements
• Detailed understanding of the full software development lifecycle
• Software design using UML
• Software implementation using either Java OR C++
• Military software development
Any of the following would be desirable – although not essential:
• DOORS
• Oracle 9i/10g database development
• Data modelling
• Rose/Rhapsody
• ClearCase / ClearQuest
