Description Project Controller, 6 months contract based Portsmouth rate to 33ph Essential experience and qualifications needed by applicants: (must be clearable to SC) Excellent knowledge of MS Office. ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Primavera P3 and SAP. Scheduling (without resource scheduling) Resource planning Financial analysis Risk management Mature enough to work unsupervised for long periods of time and maintain quality of work. Planning experience in a manufacturing (MRP) environment Exposure to project management, risk, planning and financial process within defence/aerospace/telecoms sectors through project control role. The purpose of this role is to provide Project Control services to the team responsible for Payload Equipments. The candidate will report directly to the Project Control Manager Key responsibilities will include:
·Assist project managers in the development and interpretation of plans/schedules and the progress and development of change strategies or alternate delivery solutions. Provide Critical Path Analysis reports and maintain record of float variance.
·Ensure regular and timely update of internal and external schedules using MS Project and Primavera P3 software tools.
· Identification of KID’s within the plans including in- and out-feeds between segment areas. Support Astrium (partnering) activities with regular and accurate schedule milestone updates.
·Assist project managers with the analysis and development of cost estimates to support project budgets and forecasts
·Prepare financial outputs in accordance with pre-determined timetables and other ad-hoc reports as necessary using appropriate business systems. (Oracle financials, SAP, Business Warehouse, Excel ), provide analysis and interpretation of reported information.
·Maintain schedule and budget control through regular variance analysis, earned value reporting, cash flow forecasting and by close communication with the management team. Manage the Monitor and Control process.
·Assist in creation of work packages and documentation control. Ensure schedules and relevant documents are lodged for audit.
·Ensure that Risk registers are properly maintained & updated by risk owners. Monitor risk mitigation funding requests and identify and report actions taken and success in risk elimination.
