Description
Lean Engineer
Job Purpose:
To provide Lean / Industrial engineering support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Implement a range of Lean and IE tools to improve overall performance
• Assist development of a lean road map for the business activities; sighting key specific performance goals and timelines
• Provide support to manufacturing as required to meet the business targets and objectives; ensuring the plants processes operate at optimum
• Conduct Production capacity analysis
• Preparation of process layouts for manufacturing processes
• Lead and participate in projects that support the Lean rollout and process improvement
• Manage a portfolio of both Capex and Non-Capex process improvement projects
• Active involvement in all NPI (New Product Introductions) projects
• Support, mentor and coach Team Leaders and other plant staff
• Drive the Lean philosophy throughout the site
• Develop and foster a continuous improvement culture
• Change agent for the plants Lean transformation
Education/Experience
• Degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production etc)
• Extensive knowledge and application of Lean / IE tools and methods
• Work Measurement experience
• Experience in AutoCAD
