Description Reporting to the Maintenance Manager (with Assembly And Test Performance Cell Leaders as key stakeholders) and responsible to co-ordinate the optimisation of the Assembly, Test and Trim equipment capability and availability.
Key Responsibilities
Reactive/proactive responsibility for breakdown recovery, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance (PPM’s) and longer term projects. Ensure breakdown response is optimised to a level. Ensure that key critical equipment downtime is controlled to a minimum level. Using appropriate tools (7 step, Six Sigma etc) to minimise repeat and disruptive failures. Ensure the maintenance safe systems of work and risk assessment compliance is developed and maintained. Development and execution of effective Predictive and Preventative Maintenance schedules. Lead and manage corrective engineering projects in line with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) initiatives and operational needs. Ensure that Service and Spares levels are appropriate to business requirements. Ensure compliance procedures covering maintenance and contractors in assigned areas. Input to AOP budgetary requirements and control of yearly maintenance spend. Develop and maintain maintenance measures. Ensure that appropriate skills are available to cover key and critical equipment.
Essential Skills:
Degree (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) preferred but recognised apprenticeship with proven relevant experience as minimum. Proven knowledge of Maintenance Systems and techniques ideally gained in a complex manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory/management experience preferred. Proven track record of planning and delivering projects. Previous experience of problem solving using proven analytical tools. Six Sigma experience or willingness to learn. | | |
