Our client is one of the world’s largest electronics groups, and this particular site is the centre of excellence for missile systems design, development and manufacture.
The successful Requirements Manager will play a leading role in supporting the development and transition of complex weapon systems from requirements capture through to validation. Systematic analysis of the customer needs is a fundamental pre-requisite to providing the engineering team with a clear implementation strategy. You would work on a diverse range of projects ranging from small rapid prototyping through to mainstream development projects resulting in full production. Hence the Requirements Manager must have the versatility and flexibility to work across a range of environments. The Requirements Manager will have responsibility for the generation and management of, requirements information models and requirements specifications, both at system and sub-system levels. Candidates should have a proven track record in the establishment of requirements information models, the capture, analysis and management of requirements within the DOORS environment.
It is essential that candidates have experience of managing requirements for a complex system, preferably in the defence industry. You should be able to adopt an analytical and systematic approach, capable of analysing customer requirements and have a track record in negotiating requirements at a customer level. You should be capable of constructing a requirements information models using DOORS and managing traceability and configuration control within this application.
Desirable skills include experience of UML and knowledge of CMMI.
You will be required to converse with customers, engineering teams and sub-contractors and have a flexible and pragmatic approach.
