** Warehouse Manager **
£25,000 - £30,000 + DOE
Based in Feltham
Department: Warehouse
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join a market leader in the warehouse industry, based in Feltham. You will be working in a well established yet expanding team and play an integral part in continuing the company’s growth and success.
In general terms, the day to day management of all applicable warehousing activities at Feltham, ensure full compliance with customer, company and all legal requirements.
Working hours: 0800-1800
Duties included:
Management of the 24 / 7 Feltham facility working with a team of Supervisors.
• Management of the 0800-1800 Monday to Friday warehouse.
• Full compliance with all Health and Safety requirements, including risk assessments and safely of those who may enter the warehouse including own office staff.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO audits in liaison with the Quality Manager.
• Full understanding of and compliance with budgetary requirements, actively securing improvement in cost, overhead expenditure and performance.
• Effective delegation of workloads throughout the warehousing management team.
• Conduct regular huddle meetings with the supervisors and attend other local meetings.
• Management of people and processes to take into consideration both local and group requirement as appropriate.
• Full compliance with all employment administration processes to include: employment, management of probationary periods, staff bonuses, working hours, sickness, smoking, training, discipline and effective holiday planning. Liaison with our HR department
• Premises image to include all areas of the warehouse, yard and site, plus access controls.
• Staff training must be maintained to at least the minimum levels required to perform their work safely and with regular refresher training.
• Effective control of all goods received, handled and despatched throughout the transport and warehouse system, with special attention to ERTS compliance,
• Pro-active, efficient and timely communications with all internal and external customers, especially Transport and the operational departments.
• Effective follow up on non conformance, service failures and measurement of performance and productivity
• All equipment must be in good working order with full compliance given to maintenance and service schedules.
• Continuous improvement and best practice as it relates to systems, working practices, costs, revenues and processes.
• Management with a ‘hands on’ approach where required’
Key Competencies:
Excellent managerial and organisational skills
Demonstration of a proven management career within a warehousing environment
Excellent communication skills including IT skills
Strong team building capabilities with a calm, understanding and professional attitude.
Experience of working with a large team within a transit warehouse
