Description
SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER / HAMPSHIRE / c£35K
* Specialists in design/production of high quality components/systems for applications in civil & defence markets seek a SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER
* In this key role you will define a product meeting customer requirements & expectations within agreed timescales & costs
* You will use 2D or 3D CAD software with supporting analysis & supervise subordinate staff
To apply for this exciting position, you will be a talented Design Engineer with attributes as follows:
- Significant exp in relevant design environment ideally gained in the Aerospace Industry
- Considerable 3-D CAD exp, preferably Pro-E Wildfire
- CATIA V5 exp desirable
- In depth understanding of manufacturing processes in a batch production environment
- Exp castings & machining of castings & electromechanical assemblies desirable
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equiv
The SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER will:
* Produce design solutions for new products & product modifications, liaising with Drawing Office & Performance/Stress Engineers
* Work concurrently with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure Design for Manufacture
* Produce detail designed 3D solid models using Pro-Engineer Software
* Assist Operations in all aspects to support the manufactured or purchased product for new/legacy products | | |
