MODELLING & SIMULATION ENGINEER / AVON TO £36K + BONUS & BENEFITS
* Excellent opportunity to join a multinational company & conduct model-based design studies to support definition, validation & verification of top-level requirements for Aircraft Ground Operations
* Includes support to Safety Engineers through modelling & simulation. To apply for this exciting position your skills/abilities must include:
- A good understanding of dynamical system modelling: subjects including Control, Mechanics, Hydraulics & Electronics
- Building/validating/executing simulation models based on the captured needs of Design Engineers
- Handling/manipulating large quantities of technical data, & produce technical reports
- Competencies required at the Professional operating level, as well as a sound understanding of system engineering processes & activities
- Strong team working/communication skills; high regard for internal & external customers, while maintaining aircraft integrity as the overriding principle
- Degree or equivalent with industrial exp
- Knowledge of application of modelling techniques throughout the design lifecycle
- Understanding of aircraft production methods & processes
- Exp of standard tools (e.g MSC.ADAMS, Matlab, Simulink, etc) beneficial
This MODELLING & SIMULATION ENGINEER role requires close liaison & co-ordination with similar activities trans-nationally & will include:
* Building simulation models to assess & derive the top-level requirements
* Supporting Safety Engineering Team in validating Aircraft safety requirements
* Supporting design teams by integrating Aircraft models in to Simulators: Desktop, Virtual Test Rigs, Test Rig & Full Cockpit Flight Simulators
* Reports/information for external customers, through modelling & simulation
* Contributing to development of operational plan to support current/future needs; incl. required business cases
* Creating modelling policies & co-ordinating buy-off in the wider modelling community | | |
