Description INSTRUMENT DESIGN ENGINEER / CLEVELAND / £30K-£45K + BENEFITS PACKAGE
Great opportunity for an Instrument Design Engineer to be involved in all aspects of instrument design, over the whole design lifecycle, from concept to user support, including:
- Preparation of specifications
- Planning
- Sensor design
- Data acquisition, processing/presentation
- Communications networks/protocols
- Printed circuit board design
- Software design/firmware design
- Testing/plant trials
To apply for this exciting role you must possess the following:
* Electronics & software skills
* Some exp of instrument design essential, along with repair / modification of electronic equipment desirable - to demonstrate practical ability to complement the required academic skills
* Able to plan/project manage tasks; Meet agreed project milestones, working either on your own or as part of a small team
* Remain up dated with new developments in the electronics & computing industry
* Acquire the ability to design to intrinsic safety, electrical safety & electromagnetic compatibility standards
