Our client is a reputable manufacturing group specialising in the provision of bespoke storage solutions to blue chip retail and industrial clients. Working in prestigious UK locations, they provide professionally engineered, mezzanine floors, staircases, balustrades, cantilever racking and rack clad buildings to the highest standards. An exceptional opportunity has now arisen for an ambitious CAD Draughtsman / Structural CAD Design Engineer experienced in Structural Steel to join their rapidly growing drawing office team.
For this role our client is keen to hear from enthusiastic candidates with proven 2D/3D AutoCAD skills. Applicants with this level of experience will be paid £18,000 - £25,000 depending on experience. Our client is also keen to hear from experienced Design Engineers with structural steel experience looking for their next career step. Candidates with this level of experience will receive a salary of £30,000+.
As a CAD Draughtsman / Structural CAD Design Engineer you must have excellent communication skills, a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to hit the ground running. Your duties will include:
- Drawing projects from start to finish
- Liaising with production regarding fabrication drawings
- Liaising with customers
- Producing parts lists
- Ordering materials
To succeed as a CAD Draughtsman / Structural CAD Design Engineer you must have experience of 2D AutoCAD 2005. This can be from using it at college or university, or using it in a work environment. 3D design experience would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
Our client is also keen to hear from Design Engineers with management experience and a detailed knowledge of structural steel that are looking to make the next step in their career.
