Description ARM Engineer
Technical Tasks
Spares modelling.
Availability modelling.
FMECA - functional and physical, from component up to system level.
RBD's - production and use of
Reliability Predictions - parts count and parts stress analysis up to system level, demonstrate a very good understanding the affect of reliability under different environments
Modelling - determination of target / allocated reliability figures from an overall system availability requirement.
Convert real usage data into reliability data.
Use of proprietary analysis tools, e.g. Relex, Opus, FTA+, etc. as well as spreadsheets and databases.
Maintainability - calculation of MART & MTTR times both measured and predicted.
Have an understanding and experience of the effect of testability on MART.
Rel & Maint Demonstrations - production of procedures / plans, implementation of the demo, recording of results, analysis's and report. Eg RDT, ESS, ISRMD, P-RAT, maintainability and BIT demonstrations.
DRACAS / FRACAS - recording of data and subsequent analysis and reports. The ability to translate the results of the analysis into recommendations for improvements to existing equipment and to recommend areas for modification, change of supplier, etc.
Testability - designing of testability, BIT implementation.
Software - Have an understanding of software reliability.
ARM - understand the relationship between LSA and Supply support
Project Tasks
Essential :
Degree, Diploma or BTEC in Tech authoring or a Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Trained, qualified and experienced in the application of ARM.
Or be an experience Armed Forces ARM practitioner with equivalent experience.
Must be competent at Spares and Availability modelling.
Desirable:
Be confident & experienced to make work related decisions independently. Comprehensive understanding and ability to interpret and action ARM standards, methodologies and terminology as required.
Previous Experience
Essential:
The ability to liaise and deal with internal and external customers confidently. A proven track record of working on multiple tasks/projects and the ability to work autonomously within an effective team environment.
Desirable:
Ability to adapt quickly and cope with varying workloads. Must be confident and able to work to given deadlines. Must be a team player but should be able to work autonomously.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment. | | |
