Description
Senior Electrical Systems Engineer
Salary: £40K-£50K + Bens
Location: West Midlands commutable from (Coventry, Warwickshire, Birmingham, Leicestershire, South Staffs)
Established aerospace supplier require a Senior Systems Engineer with experience of Electrical Systems Design to work on a range of Civil and Defence projects. Candidates of interest will have experience working with full electrical systems projects within an aerospace, defence or rail environment.
Main Purpose of Job: To lead an engineering activity and be able to satisfy all technical aspects of the project, including the management of the Engineering department is the absence of the engineering manager. Provide technical solutions to customer requirements and support it with a level of calculation/validation. Also to assist in the development of new products
Responsibilities
• Demonstrated leadership via the establishment of vision and direction of functional activities and resources in support of the company’s business objectives
• Develop, implements and continuously improves policies, standards and procedures for all who work in area of responsibility
• Anticipate, research and acquire enhancement in area of responsibility with the objective of improving efficiency, reducing cost, and/or enhancing capabilities.
• Actively participates as a member of appropriate management teams, assisting the Engineering Manager with the development and realization of engineering strategy, plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
• Provide leadership and guidance on related airworthiness issues
• Manage the Configuration Control Process
• Provide guidance to Product support, assisting both aircraft constructors and operators on technical queries.
• Lead in technical reviews both internal and with the customer, providing design input and sales support.
• Produce & Manager the generation of Type Record documents
• Identify and develop new products
• Produce documentation inline with program requirements
• Liaison with production, purchasing and test functions to ensure that the design requirements are met.
• Provide programme plans
