Description
Key Activities - Technical analysis in the disciplines of stress,
performance and acoustics/vibration
- Preparation of technical reports
- Use of up to date technology including analysis
techniques such as Finite Element analysis, Multi-
body, Dynamics simulation, spreadsheets etc
- Liaison with Design Engineers
- Interfacing with Chief Engineers, Programme
Management and colleagues at other sites
- Presentations to both internal and external customers
Knowledge required
- Degree in MechanicalEngineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the aerospace industry
- Conversant with traditional and computerised calculation and analysis methods such as Finite Element Analysis and Fatigue Analysis
- Working knowledge of aerospace materials
- Awareness of industry standards, regulations and
qualification requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- General computer literacy (Microsoft office)
- Language skills or experience working overseas advantageous
