Our client is a provider of outsourced infrastructure support services principally to the utility sector.
As the Health and Safety Advisor you will ensure effectiveness of the Business Management System and all the policies and procedures to underpin the system. With a background in a similar role, you will be able to display your skills at managing the awareness of the H&S policy whilst keeping up to date on changes that impact operational roles, ensuring that all relevant procedures and policies are fully implemented and updated. You will be expected to advise colleagues on the adherence to specific regulations and identify areas for improvement. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must have excellent attention to detail and ensure that all activities carried out are compliant with ISO accreditations.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and will hold a NEBOSH qualification or similar and will ideally be a member of IOSH. It would also be advantageous for you to have experience of working on public highways and major capital water projects. You will be customer focussed with high level influencing and budgeting skills coupled with the ability to work in a very organised manner at all times. Although not essential, if you have experience of training and auditing and hold NRSWA qualifications it would be beneficial. | | |
