Our client is a rapidly expanding company involved in the design and manufacture of an extensive range of tools and equipment for the building and construction industries. Since the 1950s, they have been developing and manufacturing tough, durable construction equipment for the DIY and professional builder, making it the first choice for utilities, local authorities, construction companies and plant hire businesses. They sell through a network of over 6,000 dealers, retailers and hire centres.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Toolmaker to join them and to support production through the development of new and existing tooling, fixtures and process machinery.
Producing tooling equipment for production, you will be required to complete upgrade work on new and existing tooling and plant equipment. You will support, when required, the Maintenance Engineers in the maintenance of production equipment and you will also manage and maintain resources and equipment required for the department. You will ensure that all tooling and maintenance work is carried out in line with the company Health and Safety procedures and communicate any tooling issues with all relevant personnel. You will need to keep up to date with industry updates and process changes, eager to adopt new ideas and support change.
They are looking for a highly motivated individual with previous experience in a similar role. With qualifications and experience in mechanical engineering, you will also possess welding experience. Knowledge of the construction or a related industry would be highly desirable. An excellent team player, you will be an effective communicator, capable of coaching fellow colleagues on new developments.
