Description Provision of Project Support Services to all Project Engineering Managers.
Generate and maintain all Engineering project plans, with clear input and direction from the lead engineers.
Report progress against engineering project plans.
Provide programme inputs to enable Statements Of Work to be formulated and issued.
Facilitate the generation and maintenance of Electronic Work Authorisation Sheets.
Maintain Project Management Information Tool system to monitor project Key Performance Indicators and to report 'Earned Value'.
Identify and report programme technical 'risk' issues, impacts and contingencies.
Provide inputs to enable Forecast Cost At Completion to be estimated.
Establish the impact of other CoC's and functions (e.g. ME, Procurement) on the project and develop necessary interface.
Provide a Project Management 'Challenge' to activity performed on the Project.
Identify resource requirements (permanent and sub-con) based on project programme and provide feedback to EDL Management & FCVYL Planning & Control team.
Ensure Project Management process (AP1002) implemented in a consistent manner within all Centre programmes.
Specific Objectives and Deliverables:
Establish working interface with the Project Aircraft Management Team/PMO organisation,
Generate and maintain a suite of project plans for Landing Gear contribution on the programme,
In conjunction with Team Leaders establish the current status of all schedules and update where appropriate.
Identify achievement against schedule and report progress in a common format for each of the teams identified above,
Set-up and provide regular milestone and performance metric reporting for each of the teams above. R
Regularity of reporting and format to be agreed with EPM and Project Support Team Leader, Provide a 'Project Management' challenge to EPM and Team Leaders on the 'Robustness' of Work Package plans, SOW's, Engineering Cost Work Plans, Budget, PM Processes etc.
Support EPM and Team leaders to overcome any shortfalls,
Establish a relationship with other Functional groups (Procurement, Manufacturing, Suppliers etc) to ensure that programme dependencies are identified, aligned and understood by each of the Systems programme teams
