Our client is a well established Engineering company based in Darlington. As a versatile and multi-skilled business, they are highly regarded for their work in the fields of highways equipment, control systems and forgings, as well as being a strong force within the railways industry. An opportunity has now arisen for a Quality Manager to join their team.
Working as part of the management team, in this role you will be responsible for co-ordinating all activities within the company to ensure that its products and services are fit for purpose and meets its customers’ expectations. For this position our client is keen to hear from both experienced Quality Managers, and candidates with a Mechanical Engineering qualification and knowledge of quality processes.
Your role will focus on ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO900 and other quality systems, as well as co-ordinating all departments’ efforts in a Continuous Improvement programme. You will also assist with monitoring and developing the Company’s obligations under health, safety and environmental legislation.
To succeed as the Quality Manager you must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, a minimum of an HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, and knowledge of quality processes.
Experience in a similar role and the proven ability to work with a computer based production management system would be beneficial to your application, but are not essential.
