Description
Our client a world class multinational medical device manufacturing company with a state of the art facility in Co. Tipperary is now recruiting an experienced Manufacturing Engineer.

Position Description:
Responsible for providing SMT Manufacturing Engineering support in the day to day manufacturing environment in order to meet the strategic goals and objectives of the company.
Responsible for delivering Manufacturing and Yield metrics.
Identifies Yield improvement projects and directs support personnel and coordinates project activities as part of the continuous improvement cycle.
Maintains detailed and thorough documentation and ensures compliance through day to day activities.
Investigates and evaluates existing technologies for potential applications to improve existing processes.
Responsible for Equipment support activities, development of robust preventative maintenance schedule and the implementation of an overall Equipment effectiveness metric.
Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides support to the SMT Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that production goals are met.
Monitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues.
Interfaces with Quality and Research and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of related work experience.
A strong understanding of Surface Mount Technology would be an advantage.
