Electro Mechanical Design Engineer

Permanent
Salary 27k & overtime or 30k
37hr week
A large aerospace OEM based in Dorset are looking for design engineers, with experience in a similar engineering environment with high quality requirements and an understanding of the design and manufacturing process.
Summary
To progress Electro Mechanical Design activities within the production support area of the customer services engineering team.
Providing support to production with design activities associated to Non Conformances, Production Permits and change requests (to include CRB activity).
Responsibilities
Progress electro mechanical design elements of related project and production queries, ensuring the development of compliant design solutions
Liaise with team members and inter departmental colleagues to establish best practise actions, communicating technical progress to engineering team leaders and management.
Progress Design solutions, supporting production with design activities associated to non conformances and production permits.
Ensure compliance of drawings to company design and configuration control standards, supporting proposed changes through Configuration Review Board approvals.
Desired Experience
Equivalent of five years in aerospace design or similar, preferably civil and or military aircraft systems.
Experience of shop floor liaison and customer support activities preferable
Self managed with a customer focussed proactive attitude
3d CAD modelling (Pro Engineer)
Qualifications
HNC or equivalent in Electro Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
