Manufacturing FLM/Shift Manager (Food/FMCG/Bakery)
Salary: £35k - £40k + Benefits
Location: Commutable from: Orpington, Swanley, Sevenoaks, Dartford. (South East, Greater London, Kent)
An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Shift Manager/First Line Manager with experience within the Food/FMCG sector to join one of Europe's largest Commercial Bakeries.
You will be responsible for the delivery of health and safety, quality, service, cost and people performance targets by leading, directing, motivating, coaching and performance managing a shift based team. You will also be expected to drive and implement continuous improvement and sponsor change.
You will be accountable for approx 20 Shift Based Operators maintaining the following KPI's:
· Cost - Yield, Damage, OEE, PDP and Headcount for shift
· Quality - Adherence to QAS and Audit requirements, AIB accreditation, complaint level
· Service - Schedule Adherence and Communication with other departments
· People - Delivery of hard skills training plan for shift, RTW interviews, Absence actual v target, Completion of shift PAR's
· Health and Safety - Accident Incident Rate, Number of Lost Days
· Food Safety - Compliance to CCP's
· Continuous Improvement - Develop a culture of Continuous Improvement in your area
· Management of CI teams
To be considered for the role, you will ideally meet the following criteria:
· Graduate/Graduate Calibre
· Minimum of 2 years successful experience in comparable environment, with experience in a line management role
· Analytical approach to problem solving and numerate
· The ability to take a logical approach to decision making
· Team Player
· Experience and evidence of accepting and driving ownership and accountability
· Experience and evidence of improving line and team performance
· Experience and evidence of continuous improvement
· Competent and confident communication skills
· The ability to learn new skills and develop personally
· The ability to demonstrate wider business understanding
