Engineering Team Leader (Electrical Bias)
Salary: £31.5k (inclusive of shift allowance) + Benefits
Location: Leicester
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer with leadership experience to join one of the UK's leading food product manufacturing groups with a number of market leading brands.
Candidates of interest will have experience leading teams of maintenance engineers within a fast moving environment (FMCG, Food, Pharma, Beverage, Chemical, etc.)
The primary requirements are as follows:
· To lead and co-ordinate the activities of maintenance engineers in conjunction with the maintenance manager.
· Establish strong communication links with section managers and departmental production planners, attending plant daily cell reviews.
· Provide a proactive engineering service through the planning and timely completion of PPM schedules/work orders, in accordance with works planning system.
· Developing and maintaining departmental plant/equipment library-inputting all daily activities directly into the CMMS system.
· Assist in the coaching and development of personnel with respect to maintenance operations, providing guidance and instruction where appropriate.
· Liase with external contractors as necessary, ensuring management approval and adhering to relevant documentation.
· Development of the Shire system benchmarking the standards ensuring that the system is utilised effectively.
· Be instrumental in the generation of lean manufacturing opportunities and continuous improvements leading to towards higher efficiencies within plant and equipment.
· Adopt professional behavioural standards in a manor responsive to the needs of the business - embracing a 'Can do' attitude,
· To ensure work is carried out using safe working practices and permit systems meeting current legislation.
Candidate will have either completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or be qualified to at least HNC level with formal recognised management training.
