Description Systems Engineer (Electronic Vehicle Brake Systems)
Salary: £30000 - £36000 Location: Commutable from Redditch, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Birmingham, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Coventry, Warwick, Rugby.
Our client is currently looking to strengthen their technical team with the appointment of an additional Systems Engineer. The successful individual will be primarily responsible for the design of advanced electronically controlled brake systems and sub-systems.
Key elements of the role will include: · Development of system concepts for commercial vehicle braking systems · Modelling of system performance behaviour · Modelling of component operation including software elements · Supporting engineers from other disciplines in system development and testing · Performing job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure preservation of the Company Quality Policy · Follow product development processes including the Project Management Model and APQP
The ideal candidate will ideally possess a higher-level qualification (MSc / PhD or equivalent) in an engineering, physical or mathematical discipline and be able to meet the majority of the following criteria:
· Strong understanding of mathematical model based design techniques · Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics · Proven experience of using CAE tools for dynamic systems analysis · Appreciation of (current) commercial vehicle braking systems · Appreciation the requirements of real time systems · Understanding of C-programming, compilers and linkers · Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products · Good communication skills in writing and verbally
