Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: £35K-£40K + Final Salary Pension + Bens
Location: Hampshire (Relocation Available)
Our client is part of a highly successful group that produce precision engineered components and systems to the aerospace sector. They have a varied client base and produce for both civil and defence applications. They are committed to delivering the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Due to their continued success the require a Senior Design Engineer to take a prominent role in the production of world leading products with their establishes and forward thinking R&D department. Ideal candidates will have held a design position within a precision engineering environment and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the processes used in castings and machining.
Main Duties For The Role
· Provide design solutions to engineering issues
· Identify and develop new products
· Produce documentation in line with programme requirements
· Liaison with production, purchasing and test functions to ensure design requirements are met
Skill And Qualifications Required
· Mechanical Design using 3D CAD (ideally Pro-E Wildfire but will consider other packages)
· In depth experience designing low volume high value products
· Good understanding of design to production process
· Degree qualified or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific discipline
