Test Team Leader - Electronics
Salary c£30K (6-2 2-10 shift)
Location: Birmingham
Role Summary:
To lead a team of Operators in the attainment of their Module based objectives.
Knowledge of Electronics test and diagnostics to component level. Qualification to HNC/HND minimum.
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Accountable to the Module Manager for leading their team and facilitating the Quality and output.
2. Oversee work activity and coordinate and prioritise work load to enable the most efficient utilisation of equipment and human resources in attaining objectives
3. Shortage Management – deciding when/when not to build with shortages – escalating shortage issues to procurement team.
4. Resource management– ensure all key processes are fully resourced at the start of each shift – advise/liaise with Shift Manager or Module Manager as appropriate for further cover
5. Carry out Team briefing / stand up meetings as required
6. WIP sheet management
7. Holiday TOIL management via shift manager
8. Training of operators to ensure quality is never compromised
9. Hands on work
10. Internal audits
11. Progressing outside ops/purchase orders
12. Progress repairs via RFR process
13. Feedback Production related activities to support team – shortages etc
14. Ordering of DLF stock via Pattonair/Compstock/Arrow etc
15. Booking of maintenance issues and requesting relevant support
16. CINCOM super user to support their team raising works orders / re-works orders
17. Cell MOPS on card delivery/WIP/Shortages
18. Calibration of tools and equipment
19. TPM schedules adhered to
20. DRP involvement
Personal Characteristics:
· Highly motivated and keen to succeed.
· Experience within an electronics manufacturing within test
· A demonstrable ability to motivate others, build teams and communicate effectively.
· Excellent team player, capable of making an impact at all levels.
· Proven commitment towards continuous improvement
