Maintenance Engineer (Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Maintenance Fitter, Shift Engineer)
Package Up to £35000 (Continental Shifts)
Commutable from Burton on Trent, Derby, Tamworth, Coventry, Cannock, Stafford, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham
Our client is a leading company in their field, and they require Maintenance Engineers to supplement the team on their modern production facility. They are seeking both mechanically or electrically trained individuals.
Primary responsibilities include:
§ Providing coverage for breakdowns to machinery on-site
§ Working with planned maintenance teams in developing and maintaining PPM activity
§ Ensuring that projects identified within the team are proactively supported from conception through to implementation
§ Participating technically in on-site projects, initiatives and C.I. activities providing input from a Maintenance standpoint
§ Provide involvement in risk assessment activity within the engineering function to ensure Health and Safety is maintained on an ongoing basis
The Maintenance Engineer must be apprentice-trained in a relevant electrical or mechanical engineering discipline, and will possess faultfinding and idealy programming skills with PLC systems. A logical and methodical approach to solving problems is required, and the Maintenance Engineer must be capable of communicating effectively with colleagues at all levels to ensure successful completion of tasks.
The ideal candidate would be HNC qualified and possess a background performing maintenance in fast-paced food/FMCG environments. Past roles being held either within a packaging plant or on a production line are ideal.
