Manufacturing Technician (Mechanical bias)
Salary about £25000 + excellent benefits and progression opportunities
Commutable from Hull, Scunthorpe, Barton Upon Humber, Grimsby, Leeds, York
A market-leading organisation requires Manufacturing Technicians and a Process Technician to expand the production team on their Humberside site.
The Manufacturing Technician will be qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, and will be experienced in performing mechanical and electrical maintenance and improvements within fast paced production environments. The Manufacturing Technician must possess a proactive attitude towards their work, and will be equally competent working alone or as part of a multi-faceted team.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically biased, possessing excellent hydraulic and pneumatic skills as well as a knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies developed within fast-paced industries such as food, FMCG, packaging or pharmaceuticals.
The Manufacturing Technicians primary responsibilities will be:
Providing reactive breakdown coverage on production equipment
Maintaining PPM schedules on production equipment
Investigating and developing opportunities for process improvements/modifications
Taking a proactive role in project groups
Be responsible for changeovers
Providing supervisory cover when necessary during shifts
Ensuring that the machines they are working are kept stocked up at all times
