Description
Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Food /FMCG)
Salary: Around £32k + Benefits
Location: Commutable from: Orpington, Swanley, Sevenoaks, Dartford, London. (South East, Greater London, Kent)
An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a major player in the food industry.
The primary objectives of the role will be to:
· Maintain the operations electrical equipment to a standard that meets the requirement for continuing production of the product
· Support the manufacturing team, so in the event an electrical panel breakdown there is a rapid response and the equipment is repaired as quickly as possible so maximum efficiency can be achieved.
Key tasks will be as follows:
· Adhere to all safety requirements and ensure safe-working conditions at all times.
· Be self-motivated and able to work through the day with minimal supervision.
· Liaise with Production staff to assist in any minor electrical problems that may be occurring, those of which could be resolved during production gaps or whilst the plant is running to ensure the plants runs smoothly throughout the day. This will not exceed more than 10 hours per week.
· Ensure a full day report is completed and left in the Engineer's Log so the next shift is aware of any outstanding jobs.
· Carry out electrical panel breakdowns, keeping the breakdown time to a minimum to support the Manufacturing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
· Ensuring all electrical panels are serviced and maintained at regular intervals.
· Participate and support colleagues during any training, playing a positive role in maintaining good relations with other departments
· Ensure reports on small breakdowns and other relevant paperwork is completed accurately and concisely.
· A majority of the time will be spent updating electrical drawings and PLC's.
Ideally you will have served a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship.
